Hot Waxing Treatments

Working at a slightly higher temperature hot wax makes shorter and more stubborn hairs easier to remove. This is a much more comfortable way of removing intimate hair.

Our therapists are trained to the highest standard and specialise in Brazilian and Hollywood hot waxing. You can be assured that you are in safe hands and you'll be very happy with the results.

Hot Waxing Treatments

A Hollywood wax removes all pubic hair, from front to back and in between!

Underarm / Eyebrow / Lip Hot Wax £13.00

Hot Waxing FAQs

Hot wax depilation has been available over many years but is not as common as warm wax. Our Hot wax is made with antiseptic tea tee oil from Australian body care. Hot wax is melted to a thicker consistency than warm wax and when the wax is applied to the skin with a spatula, it coats the hair with a thick layer.

As the wax cools it becomes firmer contracting around the hair and gripping them tightly. The wax remains on the skin until it becomes soft and peelable. It is then pulled off the skin with a fast movement.

Advantages of Hot Waxing

Disadvantages Of Hot Wax

What Will I Have To Do?

Make sure hair is trimmed to 1cm as this makes the hot waxing treatment more comfortable. You will be given paper thongs to wear during the bikini area treatments to make the the process more hygienic and to protect your knickers from any products.

Does Hot Waxing Hurt?

For first timers, hot waxing can be painful. But using the hot wax that does not adhere to the skin is more comfortable than using warm strip wax. Many clients say that it is not as bad as they imagined it would be.

What Would Prevent Me From Getting Waxed?

Contagious skin conditions will prevent us from hot waxing the affected area until the condition has completely cleared. If you are using skin care products that contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid or alpha hydroxyl acids of any kind, these can cause the skin to lift while waxing.

Another area of caution is aggressive exfoliation of the skin, such as microdermabrasion or chemical peels.

Prescription medications such as antibiotics, Acutane, or topical ointments such as Retin-A or Renova can cause the skin to thin and lift while being waxed. Other products to keep in mind are Strivectin, Proactiv, Avita and Avage. Clients taking Roaccutane must wait 6 months after finishing their medication before receiving a hot waxing treatment.

We are also unable to remove hair from skin that is sunburn, chafed or broken, or skin that has been treated with steroid cream within the last 3 months. Keep in mind that it's difficult to predict how skin will react, no matter how many precautions are taken. You should avoid making a waxing appointment one week before a menstrual cycle and after a spray tan, suntan or solarium treatment.

How Can I Avoid In-Growing Hairs?

Exfoliate the skin thoroughly to remove dead skin cells. Moisturise the skin every day. If the skin is supple, new growth can break through more easily reducing the risk of in-growing hairs and infection.

How Long Will The Results Last?

In most cases, you will see minimal re-growth during the first 3 weeks, with a noticeable increase after that. Continued waxing encourages slower, sparser re-growth.

How Often Should I Get Waxed?

We recommend that you come in every 4 -6 weeks.

Hot Waxing Aftercare

Avoid sun exposure for 24 hours. Also try to avoid deodorants, hot showers, chlorinated pools, solariums, spas and saunas for 48 hours as these will irritate the skin.

Use an exfoliator after two days to minimise ingrown hairs. Moisturise daily and don't shave or tweeze in between appointments and you'll get great results with your hot waxing.
